- The approximately 60 km long Pustertal forms the border between the Central and Southern Alps. In the north are the highly fragmented three-thousand-meter peaks of the Zillertal Alps (Hochfeiler 3510 m), in the south the vertical walls of the Sexten Dolomites with the famous Three Peaks.
- The main town is Bruneck, after the north branches the Tauferer and the Ahrntal with their side valleys. To the south the Pragser Tal with the famous Pragser Wildsee, the Sextnertal and the Höhlensteintal.
- Three large nature parks can be found here: the Rieserferner-Ahrn Nature Park, the Sesto Dolomites Nature Park with the Three Peaks and the Fischleintal as "flagship" and the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Nature Park with the Karvongen Sennesalmen and. The tourist centers are Bruneck, Campo Tures, Toblach, Innichen and Sexten.
- The alpine experiences in the Pustertal are wide-ranging: multi-day tours in the Rieserferner-Ahrn Nature Park, Dolomite classics such as the Peitlerkofel, the Einserkofel, the Dreischusterspitze, demanding via ferratas such as advanced ones on the Rotwand.
- In addition, more leisurely nature experiences await you, such as a circular hike through the Fischleintal, the Reintal with its Vallen waterfalls, the sunny slopes of the Ahrntal or a farm hike on the Pragser Sonnenberg.
